The Silver Lining Serenaders

Specializing in vintage jazz, swing & western swing music from the 20’s, 30’s & 40’s!

The Silver Lining Serenaders are a New Orleans–based ensemble that delivers vibrant, danceable music rooted in the 1920s–40s era. Co-led by violinist/vocalist Ella Thomasine and guitarist/vocalist Scott Stobbe, the group typically performs as a quartet—augmented by clarinet and upright bass—but also adapts into trio, duo, and occasionally quintet formats.

Their diverse repertoire encompasses swing, Western swing, early jazz, vintage country, and even songs in French and Spanish—a nod to both New Orleans’ multicultural heritage and the band’s international tours.

Formed in 2022, the Serenaders have built an impressive recording catalog. Their self-titled debut album, released in May 2022, features twelve tracks including New Orleans jazz, manouche, Western swing standards, and an original composition by Stobbe.

Their follow-up, Whenever You’re Lonesome… (June 2024), was recorded at Marigny Studios and showcases twelve songs in the same vintage style, with a few selections in French and Spanish. Bandcamp and Spotify data reflect a growing fanbase with standout tracks like “Old‑Fashioned Love,” “Without My Walking Stick,” and “Goodbye Booze” drawing strong streaming numbers.

On the performance front, the Serenaders are active on both domestic and international stages, especially in the summer. They’ve toured across the U.S.—including the Southeast, West Coast, Gulf Coast, Minnesota, and Hawaii—as well as Europe and Latin America, with stops in Spain, France, Portugal, Croatia, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Argentina, Chile, and Peru thesilverliningserenaders.com. Their lively concerts, filled with rich harmonies and inventive arrangements, bring fresh vitality to both well-known and obscure early 20th‑century tunes.

In essence, the Silver Lining Serenaders offer a joyous, nostalgia-tinged experience that blends authentic vintage sounds with modern warmth—making them an ideal highlight for any website seeking an engaging and historically rich musical act.

SPEAKEASY NIGHT! Parlor Tricks.

Parlor Tricks is the world's first and foremost industrial ragtime band, a hot-music quartet led with sultry vocals, resonator guitar, upright bass and horn or drums. The music is swing and jazz standards, vaudeville, and bluesy originals -- all distinguished by syncopation and stomp.

We call our music "industrial ragtime" because we approach the music of the last century through our own high-energy lens. We are often booked for Speakeasy, Steampunk, and other creative events. Everything we do is firmly under the flag of great entertainment -- lead by our engaging and beautiful lead singer. The fun and excitement of this music is infectious.

Comedy!

Come join the United Nations of Comedy for a hilarious night of standup at Woodhouse Blending & Brewing!

Three comedians from completely different backgrounds will have you laughing your ass off!

Then to close the show all three will take the stage together to roast YOU!

Thats right! The audience!

The three comedians performing are Miguel Rojas, Chris Kidder and Dan Green.

Doors open at 7pm and the Show starts at 8pm!

MIGUEL ROJAS is an L.A. based comedian and actor. Growing up in the city of angels he worked a number of dead end jobs until he did his first standup routine on a dare in 2011. He was instantly hooked!

In 2017 he quickly became a SAG artist landing roles on productions made by Comedy Central and FX making just enough to support his four cats, fourth wife (in addition to his third!) and adult daughter.

He hilariously explains this balancing act at The Hollywood Improv, The Ice House in Pasadena and in packed comedy clubs all over Southern California.

CHRIS KIDDER is a comedian based out of Los Angeles, CA. Over the years Kidder has lived many lives, he was in the Army, travelled the country, became a tattoo artist, married his best friend, had children, lost a battle at a Starbucks drive-thru and now shares all those stories on stage.

If he's not on stage making the crowd fall in love with his adventures he can be found somewhere misguiding his two kids.

He has performed at The Hollywood Improv, The World Famous Comedy Store and he regularly makes the crowds laugh at the legendary Ice House in Pasadena.

DAN GREEN is a former Australian soldier & late night fixer whos crazy journey through life from selling guns in Texas, bouncing nightclubs and even time in Iraq working as a contractor to doing standup in L.A.'s greatest comedy clubs will have you in stitches!

He performs at The Laugh Factory and The Hollywood Improv and produces an online food show called "Are You My Vege-mate?" where he gives comedians their first taste of Vegemite!
